Many say to me I am the busiest person they know. I don’t know if that’s true, but I always seem to find time for the things I need to do. I’m still on Buy Back America with Tim Aalders, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (MDT) on KTALK AM 630 or streamed on http://k-talk.com. But in order to have a little something of my own I’ve launched a YouTube Channel called Turning the Tide and a BlogTalkRadio.com radio show of the same name. Both are dedicated to enlightening, informing and motivating American citizens to action which will lead us toward morning in America again. The Turning the Tide radio show launches this Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. (MDT) and airs every Saturday thereafter. I am interviewing Boyd Matheson of Trillium Strategies. Boyd is truly amazing at messaging, branding, and marketing whatever he puts his mind to. He is the founder and Chief Strategy Officer for Trillium Strategies. Ann Coulter, when we interviewed her a few weeks... Read the rest of this entry »

What Now? The Debt Debacle continues to spiral downward.
China currently owns $1.1 trillion of U.S. debt, I am certain that’s about to go up to $3.5 trillion as Obama turns to his favorite creditor to get more money for his programs. As of April of 2011, US Treasury bonds owned overseas accounted for $4.5 trillion of the national debt – up 10% on June last year. The U.S. now owes over $14.5 trillion. (We owed $7.8 trillion in 2005, to an exploding $14.5 trillion as of today.) China is the biggest owner of U.S. Treasury bonds – over $1.152 trillion by April this year – up 4% on last year. (Source Guardian.co.uk) And what is China’s response to this? A stern warning to Barack Obama, because he is our missing president, on this subject, to get our fiscal house in order and they, ever so slyly, recommend that we start with the American military, the greatest in the world, which they fear. Their motivation is clear, they’ve watched Congress as they weakened America’s economy, now China slides right... Read the rest of this entry »
Thanks a lot, Congress, for the Debt Debacle and Downgrade!
The blog I wrote on 29 July 2011, “What Barack Obama Left Out” clearly warned, as did every major news source worth their salt, that if Congress did not find, at minimum, $9 trillion in REAL cuts, not shadow cuts, we were faced with America’s credit rating being downgraded. Specifically I wrote: 7. And that brings us to Standard & Poor and Moodys. Standard & Poor has said, very clearly, that unless they see a budget with real cuts to the tune of $9 to 10 trillion, they will downgrade America’s credit. Again, none of the plans on the table, listed above, come ANYWHERE near to this. But still, the pontificating goes on, on Capitol Hill while they play at the crisis–while doing absolutely nothing! What Barack Obama left OUT of his speech
I grow weary of the pontificating taking place on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Democrats want to keep wildly spending with no restrictions. The Republicans are playing at making cuts, but none of them real. In the meantime, here are the things Barack Obama conveniently left out of his brief speech of casting blame: 1. The economic growth of America for the last six months is a dismal 1.3% under Barack Obama and Harry Reid’s watch. Why do I say under their watch? Because Republicans have passed plan after plan all to be stalled in the U.S. Senate by Senator Harry Reid. Thanks, Nevada, really appreciate the stumbling block you gave us! But Obama didn’t think it important to include that in his speech. 2. Democrats had four years to rectify our now $14.5 trillion debt. But instead, they added almost $4 trillion to it, and want to add another $2.4 trillion without the rectifying of our grossly bloated government and their spending habits. But NOW they find it convenient... Read the rest of this entry »
A Cause Worth Perfecting
With the news that Michelle Obama was in Utah today, AND she raised $420,000 from gullible Utahns who apparently have not paid attention to what has been going on in America for the last three years, I’ve been pondering quite a bit. You all know I am the co-host (to Tim Aalders) of KTALK AM 630′s Buy Back America. It is an honor and privilege to be on air 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, talking of the state of America’s Main Street, K Street, Washington, D.C. as a whole, the Obama Administration, Congress, conservatives and liberals throughout the nation, promoting small business, etc. Through the course of these months, as America’s economic and constitutional positions have grown more and more precarious, there has been a sense of urgency growing in the conservative movement across the nation. This is an urgency that is 10-fold in my own heart. I know I cannot save America by myself. I know there are millions across America joined in this great cause to preserve... The Candace E. Salima Daily
Here’s a fun little app geared toward my tweets! It’s called paper li and it creates an electronic newspaper from 24 hours of my tweets, every day. How fun is that! Paperli.PaperWidget.Show({ pid: 'CandaceSalima/1309095995', width: 400, background: '#FB0000' }) As I’ve gone from author, to businesswoman, to publisher, to short-lived TV host, to radio talk show host, I’ve been amazed at the twist and turns my life has taken. Really, life throws curves at us sometimes that knock us down and can keep us down if we’re not determined to get back up. It could be a financial, illness, legal, friends, or family juggernaut. But I really believe, regardless of what comes our way, that if we kneel in prayer morning and night, remember to turn to the scriptures for our inspiration and answers, stay fully aware of life going on around us, both the good and the bad, that we can make it through just about anything. For me life revolves around my religion, my... Read the rest of this entry »
We Must Rise to the Call
Vitriol is rising to alarming levels between political parties, religions, and between those supporting different candidates. As these levels continue to rise I am struck by the knowledge that in dividing us the liberals will have to do very little to defeat us. We must put aside our differences if we hope to save America and restore the Constitutional Republic we all hold so dear. Will you rise to the call, or wallow in manufactured hate? As the 2012 campaign cycle begins, the hate is already bubbling to the surface. We have Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Allen West, Herman Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and more, and already the lines are dividing and instead of sticking with issues, the name-calling, ridicule and animosity toward each other is already escalating and we are eighteen months away from the actual election. Tell me why, when we all have the same goal in mind, to restore a constitutional republic, are we fighting amongst ourselves this way? Why can we not allow... Read the rest of this entry »
Barack Obama: Part Two
Well, if those words don’t strike terror into your heart, you haven’t been paying attention over the last 2 1/2 years. Barack Obama announced this morning that he is running for the President of the United States of America, again. Looking back over everything I learned about Barack Obama in the last presidential campaign (just go down to the Labels and you will find 72 blog posts about Barack Obama, his administration or the unholy triumvirate formed between Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi,) and adding it to everything we have seen and learned since January 20th of 2008 … I shudder to think of another four years under the inept, and grossly dangerous, leadership of Barack Hussein Obama. His campaign slogan went back and forth between “Yes we can,” which was answered by the American people with “Hell no, please don’t!” and his response was an endless chant of “Hope and Change.” Well, we got change alright,... The High Cost of Illegal Immigration to America
With the illegal immigration debate raging here in Utah, not to mention–America, I have been combing reports, both governmental and private, to determine the true cost to America and the state,s if illegal immigrants are given a pass and the floodgates opened wide. I, for one, believe the disastrous results will forever damage what is left of this great nation I love so dearly. It is a fight I have not given up, nor will I ever. And really, it has not been an easy battle. I am not a woman without compassion, but I am also a woman who believes in the rule of law, which illegal immigrants do not. I have been embroiled in conversation on my Facebook page that seem to be circular in argument. However, one cannot dispute the costs associated with illegal immigration to America. Between the costs to education, healthcare, entitlements, criminal justice, and the loss of American jobs it is a problem that has to be addressed and simply cannot be kicked down the road any longer. The Center... Read the rest of this entry »
Time for the Federal Government to man up and take care of our own.
Having had the pleasure of interviewing both Sheriff Paul Babeu and the SAC of Border Narcotics Intelligence, I find I’m even more disgusted, and annoyed, with the federal government for leaving our men and women in our border states to fight this battle alone. Law Enforcement is doing all they can, but are undermanned, underfunded, and outgunned. The drug cartels waltz in and out of our country, protected by cartel snipers and watchers, on our side of the border, as well as their own. They draw their inspiration from jihadists, who should inspire noone, commit beheadings and are now threatening to put IED’s in drug bundles placed on the American side of the border to be picked up by drug mules. If anyone else, law enforcement, bandits or innocent, yet incredibly dumb, American hikers happen along and try to pick the bundle up, they will be blown to pieces. When, I ask, will our federal government begin to take the threat at our southern and northern borders seriously? Illegal... Read the rest of this entry »
A Moment of Reflection
Over the last three weeks I have faced many interesting propositions. This has caused me to pause, reflect and consider the direction my life has taken. I was born in 1963 in California. Through the next 18 years of my life we moved so much that I attended 24 elementary schools, 3 juniors highs during my 7th grade year and finally, once my mother divorced my biological father, we stopped and I attended one high school. In August of 1981, shortly after my high school graduation, I underwent open heart surgery under the skilled and inspired hands of Elder Russell M. Nelson, who was just Dr. Nelson to me then. What they thought was wrong and what was really wrong were two entirely different things. Fortunately for me, Dr. Nelson had seen this condition once before, 30 years prior, and he knew precisely what to do. He prayed and his hands were guided as he changed the course of the surgery in midstream. In October of 1981, I entered Ricks College. After finishing there I moved on to Brigham... Article 4, Section IV of the U.S. Constitution
So I was reading the U.S. Constitution this morning…really. I don’t find it difficult to understand unlike liberal politicians, pundits and press. Anyway, I happened across Article 4, Section IV of the U.S. Constitution: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence. Now let’s consider what is going in the states with illegal immigration, more specifically, what is going on in our border states with the Mexican drug cartels invading us wholesale. Arizona has become a war zone, invaded by both illegal immigrants, determined to break our laws, and Mexico’s hardened, vicious criminals who use Al Qaeda as their inspiration. As I have quoted, ad nauseum, 72% of illegal immigrants commit identity theft and then continue to commit fraud upon the... Read the rest of this entry »
