My journey through the Old Testament is proceeding apace. I’m almost through the Psalms. I will have to jot down a few thoughts on particular verses, at another date, but suffice to say, I find I identify a lot with King David, in that I find myself pleading for mercy, a lot, over my own short-comings. I realize he committed two terrible sins (adultery, and murder), and yet I can’t help but feel compassion.
